Since most people’s social lives are diversified and multifaceted, knowledge of public etiquette is necessary for the establishment of polite and harmonious relationships. Our course, Public Etiquette/Courtesies of Society, intends to equip participants with skills and knowledge to progress with ease and grace into any public setting.
In this module, participants will be taught about public restroom etiquettes, they will be guided to use public facilities in a proficient manner, with hygiene and keeping one's personal belongings in order, and being cognizant of others while waiting in lines. Here, it will be discussed about how to graciously and respectfully handle unexpected situations that may arise while standing in line in shared facilities.
This module will guide you regarding elevator etiquettes, escalator etiquette, and stairs etiquettes which should be adopted on stairs, elevators, and escalators. Participants will learn how to safely navigate these areas while being considerate of others, such as standing aside for those in a hurry, allowing passengers to exit before boarding, and understanding the importance of personal space.
Given the sensitivities involved in the hospitals, such etiquettes are very important to be understood. Therefore, this section will discuss how to behave respectfully towards staff and patients, the importance of visiting hours and being polite in a place you have to share with others, like a waiting room. Learners will gain knowledge of how to offer support to friends or family in medical situations while maintaining a positive demeanor.
In this module, airline etiquettes will address how to navigate the air travel process. Discussions will include appropriate conduct at check-in, boarding, and in-air. We'll talk about how to present oneself in extreme circumstances such as long waits and delays. How to appropriately interact with the crew and suggestions for co-existence with other passengers.
In Cinema Etiquette you will learn what is expected in a movie theater, from being silent during the movie, phone usage and seat selection. We will look at how you can enjoy the movie with respect for those around you so that everyone has a good time. In this chapter, we will also be able to talk about the fine art of graciously dealing with distraction
The module will look at social norms that come with attending sporting events.
Learners will be taught to support their teams while supporting others' experience. Appropriate cheering, interaction with opponents' fans, and decorum in crowded spaces are all a part of this etiquette programme.
This section will examine the appropriate expectations one should have when attending live performances. Participants will be instructed on the etiquettes of dress code, what time to arrive for the performances, and the importance of remaining quiet during performances. Subjects that would be discussed in the session include appropriate times to engage with performers, effective ways of dealing with latecomers or leaving early.
You will learn the etiquettes of appreciating art and culture within public spaces. The module will guide you about how to be respectful in the presence of exhibits. Inhibit touching works of art and how to engage with the public or staff in discussions about a piece, and so forth. We will also discuss how to express appreciation for art without affecting the atmosphere of the place.
It guides how to walk into any shopping experience graciously. Those participating will learn the etiquettes of greeting staff, asking for assistance politely, and handling the merchandise with care. We will also talk about maintaining a positive shopping environment by respecting other customers and staff members.
Understanding public transport etiquette is crucial for a smooth travel experience. This module covers etiquettes in public places including best practices in boarding and exiting, personal space, and the courteous attitude toward other passengers. They will be able to show how to manage crowds, offering seats to those in need, and keeping noise to a minimum.

Eating etiquette in public places is essential for creating a pleasant dining environment for all. Here are some basic dos and don'ts:
Be Mindful of Your Volume: Do not speak loudly or make unnecessary noise while eating. Be aware of people around you, especially if you are in a quiet cafe or restaurant.
Use the cutlery and utensils appropriately: Hold your fork and knife in the correct way and pass around the food instead of trying to reach out for it.
Chew with Your Mouth Closed: That's a very integral part of eating etiquette. No one would like to see or hear you chewing up.
Be considerate about other people's space: Keep your belongings next to you.
Dispose of Trash Properly: If you are eating in public, clean after yourself and put all your trash into the right bins.
Through these standards, you are showing respect towards other people around you.
The bathroom etiquette includes:
Respect Personal Space: You should use the stall or urinal farthest from people that will give you personal space.
Clean Up After Yourself: Ensure you leave the place clean and ensure you put the paper towel in the dustbin.
Do not waste time: Do not take too long in the restroom especially if there is a que.
Wash your hands: Hygiene is an essential etiquette that one should maintain. Wash and dry hands after using the restroom.
Avoid loud conversation: Public toilets is not the place for noisy or long conversations. Avoid talking loudly to respect other peoples’ space.

Elevator etiquette included the following. Before you enter, give way to people in the elevator. This will be a courteous way of managing flow. If you are near the doors, step aside and create more opportunities for people to move out or in conveniently. When entering, take the time to get your floor button and step aside so others can do the same. If you're in a crowded elevator, avoid touching anyone and give people as much space as possible to stand comfortably. Whether you are talking to someone or on a phone, keep talking very soft. This also makes the experience more comfortable for the people concerned.
Every time you take off to speak in public or listen to another deliver a speech, your etiquette will lead you to present a pleasant experience for yourself and the people around you.
